Winter Classic

NHL wins again! This years Winter Classic was great. You can really see how far we have come as far as putting this thing together and if you were like me and my counter part and watched all the previous Winter Classics over the past couple of days, it really stood out. Right out of the gates it was non stop fast pace hockey up and down the ice. All the ooooh's and ahhhh's you could handle. So hats off for the guys perfecting this technology because each year you can tell they are better at keeping that ice up to snuff and keeping the hockey fast.

Well at least now I know people are reading my blog because apparently Mike Rupp didn't take to kindly to all that praise I was giving Sean Avery. Holy Rupp where did he come from. Rupp scored his second and third of the year shutting me right up. Not the normal Winter Classic Mike Rupp I'm use to seeing. Let me see if I can find the Winter Rupp I'm use too. There he is, beating in John Erskines face in last years Winter Classic. I was literally trash talking this man as the game was being played. Even after he scored his first goal and the stats pop up saying that was only his second of the season. I was like, Avery has twice as many goals as this smuck! Then he scored again and I decided to sit down and get pelted with all the laughs from my Ranger loving friends (sigh). So cheers to you Rupp, I'll sit on it.
So with the pros there are cons. While yesterdays game was great, there is still some room for improvement with the camera shot selection departement. While it has gotten 95% better....ehhhh.. I'm pretty sure while one of Rupps goals was sliding across the goal line, me and the rest of everyone no at the game had a real good close up on Rupps face. I mean I knew something had happen because we saw Rupp yell, which panned over to a still puck sitting in net......way to go NBC..you are almost there. On a better note, for all of those watching the game yesterday who did not know what a "shot on goal" was, NBCsports was all over it giving you the breakdown. "By rule, a shot on goal is a shot stopped by the goalie, where if the goalie was not there, would have gone in the net for a goal"......thank you NBCsports I may now rest in peace.

Ill leave you with the best hockey commercials from the game vote which one was the best.

while this one is not an NHL commercial...We couldn't stop laughing

Happy New Year!
